INSPECTION

Life safety equipment is not "Set it and forget it." Pieces of equipment that could make the difference between a story and a really bad experience MUST be maintained to insure their effectiveness and dependability. Fire extinguishers are no different.

Unfortunately, unforeseen things can happen and you need to be prepared. Protecting your business, your investments and most importantly, you and your employees, isn't just a financially driven decision. It's a moral decision you have to make. It is your responsibility to have a safe work environment for you and your employees. Hiring Alert Fire and Safety will set your business up for success. During our inspection of the individual extinguishers currently on-site, our technicians can advise and inform you of areas in your facility that may be light on coverage and would benefit from having an additional extinguisher. Our technicians are not commissioned by sales but are compelled to see your business succeed by minimizing fire risk and damage should that emergency ever occur.

      FIRE EXTINGUISHERS

Fire extinguishers need to be inspected annually to insure they are in proper working condition, to pass city regulations (as well as OSHA) and insurance regulations.  Our inspection is a thorough visual inspection for damages, dents and rust, as well as blockage. Each and every pin gets pulled and resealed to insure if/when the time comes to use it, you will be prepared!

      RECHARGING

Most fire extinguishers can be refilled/recharged after use. It's usually cheaper than buying new. Also a recharged extinguisher comes with an inspection certification. This means that extinguisher is certified 'good' for a year. Brand new extinguishers from a big box store do NOT come certified, and though brand new, would NOT pass any city or insurance company inspection.

      EMERGENCY LIGHTS

Similar to fire extinguishers, this important piece of life safety equipment sits dormant and largely ignored. That is until the power unexpectedly goes out!

Are those lights going to work in the moment of need?

Will your employees or guests be able to safely navigate their way to the exit? We can inspect, repair and service exit and emergency lighting. Our technicians are skilled at repairing and replacing older fixtures as well as inspecting and fine tuning newer models.
